As of July 1, 2026, the Women's Giving Circle will begin operating as an independent 501(c)(3)!

Great news! The Women's Giving Circle is starting a Book Club to connect our members while exploring issues facing women in today's society.

We are thrilled to share that our transition to an independent 501(c)(3) is moving forward! We are officially incorporated in Maryland and have received our IRS letter of determination. This means we are now formally recognized as a federally tax-exempt nonprofit.

On October 23, we sent an email letter from our chair, Peg McGreevy and Betsy Day, President/CEO of the Community Foundation of Frederick County. That communication announces our upcoming transition to an independent 501(c)(3) organization. After nearly 20 years of operating as a component fund of the Community Foundation, we're ready to fly solo!
