Several of our member organizations have held events this year that benefited the WGC Grant Fund. We are so grateful for their support!

Courir de Mardi Gras - March 4 - Charm City Run

Charm City Run held a fun run/walk at Prospect Point Brewing in March, raising $1,150 for our grants fund. Charm City Run has been a wonderful friend of the Giving Circle and we appreciate all of the many ways that they have offered their support.

Women's Distance Festival 5K - August 2 - Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club

Harriet Langlois (Race Director, Frederick Steeplechasers), Kim Selby (Development Chair, WGC), Peg McGreevy (Chair, WGC)

The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club closed the books on the 2025 race and presented a check for $34,220 to us. The Giving Circle has again been designated as the charitable beneficiary of the 2026 race, to be held August 1, 2026. Save the date!

Shred Event (Halloween Edition) - October 25 - ALL-SHRED, Inc

On October 25, ALL-SHRED, Inc hosted a donation-based shred event, designating the proceeds to the Giving Circle.

We offer a huge Thank You to ALL-SHRED, Inc. for donating their truck and time to support the Women’s Giving Circle. The weather was great and the vibes were all positive!

In a span of three hours, our volunteer team, including high school students from Oakdale High, filled 34 trash bins of documents. That's 54% more than last year - and we collected $1,616 in donations!

Sailing through the Winter Solstice 2024-2025

This beloved Frederick tradition was another great success! Through the efforts of Color on the Creek in organizing the entire event and Yogamour Healing Arts in constructing and maintaining SEVA boat, the Giving Circle received $3,138. The 2025-2026 season kicked off on November 22.
