The Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County is very proud to announce the recipients of our 2025 Grant Awards.

The 2025 funding cycle has awarded $280,000, bringing the cumulative Women’s Giving Circle funding total to $3,229,607 since the first grants were awarded in 2007. Our priorities remain true to our mission to fund programs and services promoting self-sufficiency for women in challenging circumstances.

We received 42 grant proposals from 38 organizations totaling $1,223,485 in grant requests. This is a 19% increase in funding requests compared to last year. After thorough consideration and careful deliberation, our committee selected 18 projects from 13 organizations that most closely align with our mission and demonstrate significant potential for positive impact within our community. Combined, these organizations will be awarded $280,000.

These grants have been approved by the membership of the Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County and by the Community Foundation of Frederick County.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to the dedicated members of our Grants Committee, led by chair, Stephanie Fitch, and vice-chair, Emilie Routzahn. Their unwavering dedication, keen insights, and steadfast commitment have been instrumental in ensuring a rigorous and fair evaluation process. Each member brought a unique perspective to the table, enriching our discussions and guiding us towards decisions that reflect the values of our organization. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a passionate and dedicated group. We are also grateful to the Community Foundation of Frederick County who supported our committee throughout the application and evaluation process.

The 2025 grant recipients will be recognized at our Annual Grant Awards Celebration on June 4 at The Arc at Market Street.
