Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County

Founded in 2006, the Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County cultivates philanthropy among women in the Frederick, Maryland area. Through the power of collective giving, we pool our members' monetary contributions to support local nonprofits serving the needs of women.

MISSION

The Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County provides opportunities for donors to promote and support programs that enable and empower women in challenging situations to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of those for whom they are responsible.

Doing more - together

Giving back starts with an idea and gains momentum with enthusiastic member participation. Together we have a much bigger impact on organizations that support women's efforts to become self-sufficient. Our members share the understanding that encouragement and financial assistance are compelling factors in restoring stability and hope.

GRANT PROGRAM

The Women's Giving Circle grant committee evaluates applications and awards grants to community organizations that support women and their dependents on an annual grant cycle.

MEMBERSHIP

Members of the Women's Giving Circle commit to an annual pledge of $1000 for three consecutive years, and are encouraged to continue giving once the initial commitment is completed.

HOW WE HELP

The Frederick Community is fortunate to have a large number of effective nonprofit organizations that benefit women. By pooling resources, the Women's Giving Circle members are able to maximize the impact of their donations.

Thank you to annual sponsor Frederick County Bank, and our 2019 event sponsors.
